All the vaccines and dewormers we put into them.
Most animals bred for meat are only given certain shots and medications that are safe, or have to wait a certain time afterwords, etc.
All these horses going to slaughter with the intention of going for meat.. the slaughterhouse has no idea what sort of things have been injected or fed to this animal in its life. Can that really be safe for the people who are going to eat it?
