because of the way we keep them and feed them. They need less hi carb grain, more ruffage, and available 24/7 ideally so they can pick constantly and keep something in their stomach.

As for your mare, a course of GG is good. You could also try some probiotics (Paste tube is $4.85), or to tighten her loose poops some Bio-Sponge is great.
Both are a lot cheaper than GG and wuold prob help her a lot with her stomach issues. I really doubt she has a major ulcer considering her age.

Pls realize that 'ulcers' is the new fad thing and a great way for vets to make a lot of money off clients.
